Many women have problems for which they do not know there is a therapy. Examples are menstrual pain, loss of urine, problems after childbirth, pain during intercourse, bladder or uterus prolapse and fertility problems. Osteopathy can improve and in many cases remedy this type of problems in women. <\/p>\n

I am one of the few osteopaths who treats patients internally, both vaginally and rectally. To do so, I have taken several postgraduate courses with a theoretical and practical component. Pain caused by scars after stitches or adhesions in the abdomen or pelvic floor often cannot be fully resolved from outside the body.<\/span><\/p>\n

If I think that an internal treatment is necessary, I will first discuss this with you. Sometimes, women need to cross a threshold. I understand this and that is why we are taking ample time for this. Your body is and remains yours at all times. If there is something you do not want, then it will not happen in our practice. Before an internal examination\/treatment, I ask for your written consent. We are obliged to do so according to the guidelines for our profession.<\/span><\/p>\n

Did you know that your cervix needs to move supplely in order for you to get pregnant? A cervix that does not move enough will be less likely to catch sperm, which greatly reduces the chance of a pregnancy. Adhesions around the uterus and intestines may also reduce the chances of getting pregnant. By applying specific techniques, we are able to improve the movement of the uterus and the cervix.<\/span><\/p>\n


Tail bone problems and continuing lower back problems<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Close to our tail bone (coccyx) is an important junction of nerves. If you have ever fallen hard on your tail bone, it can still cause problems in the pelvic floor and lower back years later. Both women and men may suffer from this! A rectal touch is not something that anyone looks forward to, but the results are often astonishing.<\/p>\n
