Annabel Bonten-Jennissen
Background:
I graduated as a physiotherapist in June 2007. During my studies I saw patients return to the practice several times with the same complaints. Physiotherapy could not offer them a solution. Due to one of my teachers during my last internship, I met an osteopath and became intrigued by his way of working. In October 2007, in addition to my job as a physiotherapist, I started the five-year part-time osteopath training at the International Academy of Osteopathy. I successfully completed this study in June 2012.
During this training I started to look differently at all sorts of complaints . Since then I have been able to make more connections within the complex system our body is, which makes my treatment much more efficient and effective. I see the body as a whole and treat it as such.
My greatest passion lies within treating gynaecological problems that are often misunderstood, such as pain during intercourse, pelvic pain and vaginal pain after childbirth, and pelvic instability. I can achieve very good results for such problems with Osteopathy.
