Annabel Bonten-Jennisen
Background:
I graduated as a physiotherapist in June 2007. During my studies, I noticed that patients frequently returned with the same complaints and that physiotherapy was unable to provide them with a lasting solution. After meeting an osteopath, I became intrigued by his approach.
In October 2007, alongside my work as a physiotherapist, I began the five-year part-time osteopathy programme at the International Academy of Osteopathy. I successfully completed the programme in June 2012. Throughout my training, I learned to view a wide range of health complaints from a different perspective. Since then, I have been able to identify more connections within the body, making my treatments more efficient and effective. I see the body as a whole and treat it accordingly.
My greatest passion is treating often misunderstood gynaecological conditions, such as pain during sexual intercourse, pelvic pain, vaginal pain after childbirth and pelvic instability. Osteopathy can achieve very good results for these types of problems.
